   Welcome to Rock n Rob's Roost.  Here at the ranch we love chickens, especially Silkies.  What is not to love about them?  They are are lovable, soft to pet, and fun to watch.  Look out it is contagious and before you know it, you'll be hatching eggs non stop like us.

   Currently we are raising Buff Silkies, Whites Silkies, Ginger Reds Silkies, Blue Silkies, Splash SIlkies, Black Silkies, Partridge Silkies  and working on the Cuckoo's. We offer hatching eggs on eggbid.com sometimes, so keep an eye out!  

   We live in the beautiful state of Emmett, Idaho.  Moved here in the summer of 2004 and absolutely love it here.  Sometimes it gets pretty hot, but the swimming hole isn't far from where we live. 

   We believe in putting all our chickens and silkie bantams on shavings, they really seem to enjoy the softness on thier feet.  It also helps their feather shafts not to break on their feet.  Our breeds get lots of green goodies thoughout the summer and in the winter alfalfa and seaweed with other rich treats to enhance their coats and well being. 

This is another partridge silkie that is developing nicely. I think this roo will be a light partrige silkie. Time will tell, he has a nice breadr and crest though.
